The scholarship fund was established by the Leadership Harnett Class of 2012 to provide financial assistance to those

participants who could not afford the cost of the course.

In 2023, the Board of Directors voted to rename the scholarship

fund to the Laura K. Yarbrough Scholarship Fund, in memory of Laura, a 2012 graduate of the program, who lost her eight-year

battle with cancer in January 2023.
