Program Details
General Information
Leadership Harnett consists of eight sessions held the fourth Wednesday of each month from March until the graduation ceremony in October. Sessions focus on different aspects of Harnett County. Class size is generally around 22.

Application Process
While the program is open to anyone who lives or works in Harnett County, the application process is very competitive.
Some of the criteria for selecting applicants include demonstrated leadership ability, community interest and present involvement, personal accomplishments and recommendations, along with a willingness to assume expanded community responsibility.
Graduation Information
To graduate from the program, Leadership Harnett participants must commit to the following requirements:

Attendance required for all sessions

Punctuality: The program requires a 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. commitment
- Attend an in person local government meeting Examples: County Commissioners Meeting, Town Board Meeting, Local Board of Education Meeting
